Gerald “Rabbit” L. Peters, 54, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Gerry was born November 25, 1959, in Bangor Maine, son of Carolyne (Bartlett) Peters-Voglesonger of Torrington and of the late Jeremiah Peters. He was employed by Mike Lado Service Repair as a Mechanic.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, David Peters of East Hartford, CT; one brother, Michael Peters of Burlington, CT; two sisters, Karen Peters-Soucy of Torrington, Mary-Ann Torsiello of Florida; one aunt, Mary Beth Peters, one grandson, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Harwinton Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, August 21, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
