Frank B. Treadway, Jr.

Frank Treadway, age 85, of Canaan, CT.  passed away February 27th, 2022 at Geer Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia A. (Sterpka) Treadway.

Frank was born November 26, 1936, in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late Mary (Bailey) Treadway and Frank B. Treadway Sr.

He was a dedicated employee to O & G Industries and a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478. He liked working on anything that had a motor and attended many car shows throughout the years. Along with his wife he was an avid camper and enjoyed many camping trips. His love of adventure led both him and Pat out west to Lake Havasu City where they would join their friends to explore the many experiences that Arizona had instore for them. When not out west they would venture back to CT where they would spend many summers at Lone Oaks Campsite reconnecting with their second family.

Frank is survived by: his son: Frank B. Treadway III and his wife Melody Treadway of Las Vegas, NV, and their daughter  Elizabeth Junge, a son: Alan Kittle of Torrington, CT,  Stepchildren: Peter Spadaccini and wife Nancy of Mountainside, NJ, Pam Brunoli and her husband Gary of New Hartford, CT, and Valerie Hurlburt and her husband David of Cornwall, CT., three sisters Juanita Hoffman and her husband James of Saint Matthews, SC, Patty Anne Higley of Torrington, CT, and Kathleen and her husband Don Brennan, of Fort Lauderdale, FL . Nine Grandchildren and Thirteen Great Grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Frank was predeceased by his parents: Frank and Mary Treadway, his first wife: Lois Siddell, his late wife Patricia Treadway, his daughter Susan Treadway, and his brothers: Ernie and Bobby Treadway.

The family would like to thank the staff at Geer Village and Geer Nursing Home for their love, care, and compassion shown to Frank during his stay.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.  Burial will follow at Forest View Cemetery, Rowley St., Winsted, CT 06098.  Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 9:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
