Frank W. Colangelo

Frank W. Colangelo, age 90, of New Preston, CT, peacefully passed away at his home December 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Colangelo.

Born on February 20, 1934, in Bridgeport, CT, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Emily (Williams) Colangelo. A dedicated educator, he proudly served  Warren Elementary School for 34 years, retiring as Principal, and positively impacting the lives of countless students and families in the community.

Frank was actively involved in various organizations throughout his life, including the Vatican Athletic Club, the Torrington Elks Lodge, the Litchfield Hills Antique Car Club, the Litchfield Hills Road Race Committee, and the Torrington Country Club. 

He is survived by two sons, Frank Colangelo and his wife Maggie of New Preston, CT, and John Colangelo and his wife Jennifer of Simsbury, CT, along with four cherished grandchildren: Giacomo, Maximo, Nicolo, and Betty. Frank was also preceded in death by his brother, Silvio Colangelo.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church (Saint Louis de Montfort Parish), located at 49 South St., Litchfield, CT 06759. Family and friends are invited to meet directly to St. Anthony Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.
