Francesco "Frank" Calabrese

Francesco “Frank” Calabrese, 88, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Annunziata (Rinaldi) Calabrese for 60 years.
Frank was born July 20, 1928, in Pontelandolfo, Italy, son of the late Domenic and Carmela (D’Addona) Calabrese. He was employed by the Torrington Company until his retirement. He enjoyed working in his garden, watching horse racing, playing cards with his friends, but mostly, spending time with his grandson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Frank Calabrese, Jr. and daughter-in-law Sheree of Torrington; one sister, Chiarina Mancini of Torrington; one grandson, Frank Nicholas Calabrese, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, with the cortege leaving at 10:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
