Frances E. Baldyga
January 23, 1945 — October 25, 2017
Frances E. Baldyga, 72, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was born in Torrington, daughter of the late William E. and Leona M. Baldyga.
Frances is survived by her son Matthew, and sister Henrietta and husband Peter Wilcox of Bloomfield. She is also survived by her niece, Jennifer W. Beihl, and her husband, Eric Beihl, and their daughters Charlotte and Caroline of Redding. She was predeceased by her brother William E. Baldyga.
Frances graduated from UConn in 1971 with a B.A. degree. Frances was an avid animal lover, who especially loved her cats.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Fernwood, Torrington Rehab Hospital, Valerie Manor and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for their care over many years.
Graveside services will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the New St. Francis Cemetery, 836 S. Main St. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Guild of St. Francis, 285 Sharon Goshen Turnpike, West Cornwall, CT 06796. Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St. is assisting the family.
