Florence (Robinson) Barnes

Florence Barnes, 93, of Winsted, CT, passed away on February 23, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Barnes. Born on October 27, 1922, in Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Clarinda (Gleason) Robinson. Until her retirement, Florence was employed as a key punch operator for Charlton Press.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Sharon Karkut of Winsted, Rosemary Jess of Stroudsburg, PA, her brother, Lynn Robinson of Magnolia, TX, her sister, Rosemary Lamoray of Florida, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
There will be a calling hour on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon followed by a memorial service at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT 06790.
