Ernest W. Tracy, Sr.

Ernest W. Tracy, Sr., 75, of Winsted, CT, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Torrington Health and Rehabilitation.  He was the beloved husband of Agatha (Huot) Tracy for 50 years.

Ernest was born May 29, 1939, in Rome, Maine, son of the late Willis and Mae (Drew) Tracy.  He served his country with the US Air Force and Army National Guard for many years.  He was employed by the Department of Defense as a Government Inspector until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Aggie, he is survived by four children, Elizabeth Ann Colombie and her husband Geoffrey of Harwinton, Ernest Wilbur Tracy, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Torrington, Eric John Tracy and his wife Jennifer of Torrington, John Patrick Tracy and his wife Corinne of Harwinton; one brother, James Tracy of Farmingdale, Maine; one sister, Irene Patrone of Winsted; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 8:30 a .m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.   Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
