Ernest H. Rossi

Ernest H. Rossi, 87, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at his residence.  He was the beloved husband of Tillie (Pagano) Rossi for 65 years.

Ernie was born March 23, 1933, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Mario and Rose (Cappelina) Rossi.  He served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War Conflict.  Upon his honorable discharge, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one star, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal.  A Contractor by trade, he owned and operated Northwestern Const. and was a partner in Statewide Building & Devel.  Constructing hundreds of homes and condos throughout CT.

In addition to his wife Tillie, he is survived by two sons, Ernest Rossi & wife Sheree and David Rossi & Kim, both of Harwinton, CT; two daughters, Deborah Birden & husband John of Harwinton, CT, Wendy Gnazzo & husband Doug of Canton, CT; one sister, Rachel Waschkelowiz & husband Joseph of Groton, CT; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Private graveside services with Full military honors have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.  There are no calling hours.
