Ernest C. Juliano

Ernest (Ernie) C. Juliano, 78, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at 60 West in Rocky Hill after an extended illness.

Born on December 29, 1940 he was the son of the late Arthur and Annette (Bertomarie) Juliano of Waterbury and lived most of his life there. He graduated from Croft High School and worked many years for the Metro North Railroad before retiring. Ernie's greatest joys were trout fishing throughout Connecticut, listening to the oldies, eating Italian food, and his daughter's blueberry pie, taking care of Max, his beloved dog, and watching his New York Yankees and New York Giants especially with his son in law Bill.  Ernie was an animal lover and had a big heart, always helping those in need. His favorite charity was St. Jude Children's Hospital where he donated monthly.

Loved ones to cherish his memory include his loving daughter Pamela Putnoki and her husband William of Torrington, his loving son David Juliano of Torrington, a sister Dolores D'Aversa of Waterbury, two brothers, James Juliano and his wife Noella of Waterbury, Robert Juliano of Naugatuck, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, his former wife and close friend Sharon Sedor of Bloomfield and her son Michael Nappi of New York. He was predeceased by a sister Katherine and two brothers, Arthur and Joseph.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, concluding with a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of 60 West in Rocky Hill, especially Mary Beth, Melissa, Emily, Afua, Susanna, Michelle, Leah, Evelyn, Jack, Jose, and friend John I. and to Dr. Karanam and his team at Smilow Cancer Hospital, as well as Beacon Hospice for the exceptional care, love, compassion and patience they gave to Ernie, "TO CARE FOR THOSE WHO ONCE CARED FOR US IS ONE OF LIFE'S HIGHEST HONORS"  Love and miss you so much, Dad.
