Enis M. (Urbinelli) Borghesi

Enis (Urbinelli) Borghesi, 93, peacefully passed away at her home in Torrington on September 19, 2017. She was born in Waterbury in 1923 to Serafino and Pasquina (Battelli) Urbinelli, and was married for 38 years to the late Albert Borghesi. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Revaz and husband Raymond of Harwinton, and her son, Robert Borghesi and wife Carolyn of Torrington, as well as her granddaughter, Sara Baranauskas and husband Robert, and grandson, Jason Funkhouser of Bristol.  Enis was happily employed for 29 years as a secretary in the Torrington School System. She was a member of the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary and crocheted countless afghan blankets for family, friends, nursing homes and the hospital. She enjoyed touring Italy and visiting with her Italian relatives and she especially enjoyed playing pinochle and other card games with family and friends. Her family was her love and her life which she regularly expressed through extraordinary home-cooked Italian feasts. Enis was a sensitive and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her as someone purely special.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  There are no calling hours.
