Elsie (Carminati) Toupense

Elsie (Carminati) Toupense, 100, of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Toupense.
Elsie was born June 20, 1913, in East Canaan, CT, daughter of the late Giacomo and Antonia (Ciolina) Carminati. She was employed as a waitress with various restaurants, and was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Marie Rouleau of Ft. Myers, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Vesentin, Anna Borgnis, Mary Perry, and Rose Furlan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 11:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 10:30 a .m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
