Elizabeth A. (Athorn) Follert

Elizabeth A. “Bette” Follert, 90, of New Hartford, CT, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of Paul Follert for 69 years.

Bette was born September 14, 1929, in Meriden, CT, daughter of the late John F. and Elizabeth (Julian) Athorn.  A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle point, tending to her vegetable garden, and listening to orchestra music.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Deborah Etchegary of Torrington, CT, Colleen Follert of New Hartford, CT, Paul Follert, Jr. of Barkhamsted, CT, William Follert of New Hartford, CT; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, John Athorn, and two sisters, Virginia Cook and Judie Scott.
