Edward A. Dubill, 87, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Brookdale. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Edward was born November 8, 1929, in Simpson, PA, the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Korshnak) Dubill. He served his country with the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Colt Industries and by Chandler Evans as a Senior Accountant. A graduate of Bentley School of Business, he was a founding member of Wesconn Investments, as well as a founding member of Boot and Binding Ski Lodge. A member of the YMCA for over 60 years, he loved to ski, play tennis, and travel the world.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Stancavage of Milford, CT, Irene Liptak of Torrington, CT, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, CT, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Full military honors will be accorded following the Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
