Edith A. (Ricci) Lopardo, 97, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at Wolcott Hall.
Edith was born February 24, 1924, in Winsted, CT, the daughter of the late Michael and Filomena (Serluco) Ricci. She was employed by Gilbert Clock as an assembler, and later by Big Y as a grocery bagger. She was a member of the St. Peter Holy Rosary Society, the Sullivan Senior Center and the Harwinton Sundowners.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Lopardo and his wife Mary of Winsted, CT; four grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Michael, Gregory Lopardo and Heather Murray; five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Angelo Ricci, Louis Ricci and four sisters, Josephine Ansett, Mary Turchi, Florence DiMartino and Margaret Carl.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. The family is requesting that all attending funeral services to wear protective face masks while inside of Cook Funeral Home.
