Earle "Bud" Buell Siddell, Jr.

Earle Buell "Bud" Siddell Jr., a lifelong resident of Torrington, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 93. 

Bud was born on May 19, 1931, in Torrington, and dedicated his life to service and education. He proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years, retiring in 1969 as Sergeant First Class. Following his distinguished military career, Bud continued to make a meaningful impact as a teacher at Oliver Wolcott High School in Torrington, where he inspired and guided students for two decades. 

Bud was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rose Denza Siddell, in 2015, and his son, Earle Buell Siddell III, in 2018. He is survived by his nephew Michael J. Denza (Donna) of Carthage, North Carolina; niece Debra Denza Thomas (Frank) of Torrington; nephew Joseph M. Denza of Winsted; grand-niece Jennifer E Jackson (Nate) of Chapel Hill, NC; grand-niece Courtney Denza Poorbaugh (Justin) of Burlington; grand-niece Alyssa Denza Knox(Trevor) of Carthage, NC; grand-niece Brandy N Thomas (Branden Cadarette) of Simsbury and grand-niece Sierra Thomas of Florida. 

Bud found great joy in fishing, hunting, and building model planes in his leisure time—hobbies that reflected his love for craftsmanship and the outdoors. These pursuits brought him peace and fulfillment throughout his life. Earle Buell "Bud" Siddell Jr.’s unwavering dedication to his family, country, and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
