Dolores J. (Calder) Mannion

Dolores J. Mannion, 84, of Norfolk, passed away at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on May 24, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Winchester, CT on September 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Beatrice (Heath) Calder.  She was predeceased by her husband, James.

Dolores was employed as a nurse’s aide at Ann’s Nursery for Babies until her retirement.  She was an avid world traveler and particularly loved the ocean.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy  (Deb) Decker and her husband , Norman, of Winsted, along with their son, Shawn Decker, and his wife, Dana, of East Hampton and their children Preston and Virginia (Ginny);  a daughter,  Prudence Faith Hazzard and husband, Keith , of  Winsted, CT along with their children: Craig Hazzard of Hickory, NC and his three children  Jonathan, Craig and Kaleb; Nicole Youman and husband, Chad, of Hickory, NC and their five children,  Mackenzie, Whitney, David, Dylan, and Kaiden; and Desiree Hazzard of Winsted, Ct.  She also leaves her former daughter-in-law, Susan Belle Isle of Winsted, many, many nieces and nephews and several beloved and devoted friends.  She was predeceased by her son, Dennis, her grandson, Shane Decker, her brother Willis Calder, Jr. and her sister Gertrude (Honey) Collins.
