Deborah A. (Bollard) Cerruto, 62, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of Michael Cerruto for 40 years.
Debbie was born June 25, 1952, in Torrington, CT, daughter of Alfred and Concetta (Ceritello) Bollard, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC. She was employed by the Hartford Insurance Company as an Assistant Director of the Commercial Casualty Line. She loved animals, was an avid gardener, loved to work with pottery, enjoyed gourmet cooking and planning family events.
In addition to her husband Michael and her parents, she is survived by one son, Matthew Cerruto and his wife, Paola of New Fairfield, CT; two brothers, Alfred Bollard of Norfolk, CT, David Bollard of Torrington, CT; two sisters, Gail Schellbach of North Palm Beach, FL, Donna Bollard of Rye, Colorado; one grandson, Roman Cerruto who was the light of her life, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on WEDNESDAY, February 4, 2015, with the cortege leaving at 8:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on TUESDAY, February 3, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
