Curtis K. Case, 83, of Barkhamsted, CT, passed away on January 17, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis J. Case.
Curtis was born April 12, 1936, in Winsted, CT, the son of the late Dr. George and Doris (Parmalee) Case. He has lived in Barkhamsted for the last 53 years. Curtis was raised in Winsted, CT and graduated from the Gilbert School and Trinity College. In addition to a nearly 30-year career at IBM, Curt was heavily involved in local activities in Barkhamsted, including serving as Chairman of the Board of Finance, Town Treasurer, Fire District Board, board member on the Beardsley and Memorial Library in Winsted, and was a Judge of Probate.
When he wasn’t busy volunteering, he could be found for many years in the Northwestern High School Gym, cheering on the basketball team. He is survived by his three sons, Chris and his wife Gloria of Colebrook, Darryl and his wife Joy of Colebrook, Kevin and his wife Linda of Harwinton; as well as his five grandchildren, Kyle, Sydney, Emma, Sarah and Katelynn along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother George E. Case.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning, January 24, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. A Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Winsted, CT.
