Chris R. Gardella, 54, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Diacamos) Gardella.

Chris was born November 8, 1963, in Torrington, CT, son of Roland Gardella of Ocala, Florida and of Carol Gardella of Torrington, CT.  He served his country with the United States Marine Corps, enlisting in September of 1981, and honorably discharged during September of 1986. Among the awards and decorations he received were the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, a Letter of Appreciation, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with one star. An electrician by trade, he was self employed with Gardella Electric for 15 years. Before starting his own business, he worked for The Torrington Company for 10 years. Most recently, he was employed at Kimberly Clark in New Milford, CT.

In addition to his beloved wife and his parents, Chris is survived by two daughters, Amanda Gardella of Simsbury, CT, Sarah Gardella of Torrington, CT; one brother, Daniel Gardella of Hobe Sound, Fl, as well as two nephews and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Burial will be private.  Condolences may be sent to Chris’s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
