Carolyn Alfano

Carolyn (Green) Alfano, 87, of Torrington, CT, passed away November 18, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of Raymond Alfano, Sr. for 70 years.

Carolyn was born May 3, 1937, in Haverhill, NH, the daughter of the late Gladys (Burque) and Steven Green, Sr. She was a fabulous cook, a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was known as "Noni" to them as well as to their friends.

 In addition to her husband, Raymond, she is survived by two sons, Michael Alfano and his wife Linda of Goshen, CT, David Alfano and his wife Tammie of New Hartford, CT, one daughter, Cathy Mendela and her husband John of New Hartford, CT; two brothers, Roland Green of East Hartford, CT, Steven Green, Jr. of Litchfield, CT; two sisters, Darlene Nevin of Torrington, CT, Doris Musselman of Torrington, CT; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Raymond Alfano, Jr., a brother, Richard Green, and three sisters, Shirley Daley, Rebecca Norton, and Beverly Moore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, (Our Lady of Hope Parish), 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton, CT 06791. Entombment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
