Carol A. (Latina) O'Heron

Carol O’Heron, 74, of Harwinton, passed away on March 1, 2015. She was the wife of Dennis O’Heron.

Carol was born in Torrington on April 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Sebastian “Bob” and Rose (Franculli) Latina.

Besides her husband, Dennis, of 53 years, she is survived by three children and their families: a son, Paul O’Heron, his wife, Lynn, and their three children, Kelly, Danny, and Christopher of Torrington; a daughter, Kari Shenk, her husband, Les, and their children, Hailey and Benjamin of San Diego, CA; and a son, Dennis O’Heron, his wife, Pam, and their children, Devon, Cassidy, and Joss, of Wayland, MA. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Latina of Hartford, and an aunt, Helen Latina of Wethersfield, CT, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brian and Joyce O’Heron of Highland Lake, Winsted, CT, and John and Paula Bonetti of Torrington, several nieces,  nephews, and many cousins. She also leaves a special cousin and friend, Al and Elena DeMasi of Torrington.

Carol was employed by E.J. Kelley Transportation Company and retired from the Harwinton Town Offices after many years of employment. She was an avid card player, was Chairperson for the Commission on Aging for the Town of Harwinton, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Carol’s family would like to thank the Center for Cancer Care, Radiology at the Center for Cancer Care, and the nurses and staff on the fifth floor of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Carol and her family.

Per Carol’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
