Carol (Sarri) Copertino, 76, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John Copertino.
Carol was born March 10, 1945, in Morris, CT, the daughter of the late Emil and Shirley (Bannon) Sarri. She worked as a waitress for most of her life, her known waitress job was at D's and Jo's. She was loved by her customers, and they followed her wherever she was working. Carol played softball and she was an awesome bowler. She was a fan of country music, the Carpenters, and Celine Dion. Carol was a Jehovah's Witness. She loved spending time with her husband, her family and her many brothers and sisters from the Kingdom Hall. Her eyes sparkled like the stars, her laugh infections, always making people laugh and smile. She was a very caring, loving and kind lady.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by four children Laurie Taker and her husband Jeff, Raymond DelMonte and his wife Christina, Michael DelMonte, Dawn Vincent all of Torrington, CT; three sisters, Patricia Winegar, Pamela Bernier, Kathleen Daniels all of Torrington, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emil Sarri, William Seymour and two sisters, Marlene Helms and Irene Garrettson.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home. There are no calling hours. Family and friends are gathering on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Eagles Club, 222 Main St., Torrington, CT at 2:00 p.m.
