Carmen Troccolo, 94, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Spino) Troccolo.
Mr. Troccolo was born March 28, 1920, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Louis and Rose (Ricciardone) Troccolo. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by the Torrington Board of Education in the Maintenance Department until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Torrington Lodge of Elks, the Sullivan Senior Center, and the St. Peter Holy Name Society. He was a volunteer at Christmas Village where he handed out hot chocolate as well as being a very active volunteer at Lourdes Shrine where he was also a chef for many years.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Troccolo and two sisters, Ann Renzullo and Marie Crovo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Lourdes in Litchfield, 83 Montford Road, Litchfield Connecticut. Relatives and friends may call from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Lourdes Shrine. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
