Bruce Lester Aeschlimann

Bruce Lester Aeschlimann, 75, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Royer) Aeschlimann for 50 years.

Bruce was born February 20, 1948, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Albert and Ethel (Hodgkinson) Aeschlimann.  A Tool & Die Designer by trade, he retired from Quest Plastics.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors.  When he wasn’t driving race cars, he was a Little League and Babe Ruth baseball coach for both Harwinton and Torrington leagues.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by a son Bruce J. Aeschlimann of Harwinton, CT and his partner Sarah Dunn of Naugatuck, CT; a daughter Heather Veronneau and her husband John of Harwinton, CT; two brothers, Albert Aeschlimann of Harwinton, CT, Donald Aeschlimann of Torrington, CT; one sister, Janet Wortman of Harwinton, CT; three grandchildren, Keith Jasch, Logan and Makayla Veronneau, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Aeschlimann.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St., Torrington, CT.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Torrington Area Parkinson's Support Group.
