Brian E. Miller of Torrington, CT passed away February 7, 2025, at the Gaylord Specialty Hospital in Wallingford, CT. He was the husband of Diane (Zanetti) Miller for 40 years.
Brian was born January 29, 1952, in Torrington, son of Edward W. Miller and Erna (Pfeffer) Miller. He graduated with the THS class of 1969 and started his work career at the Torrington Company. He went on to work for AcuCut as their manufacturing engineer for over 25 years retiring in 2017.
As much as he loved his family and friends, his first love was drums, all the time. He was an accomplished musician and a member of several musical groups such as John Brown’s Ancients, St. Peter’s Fife and Drum Corps, the Vagabonds Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps. He also spent many hours with his friends, especially Sam (Mark) Glasstetter and the late Ken Soucy playing pool, ping pong and drumming at his home.
He also loved all sports especially those with a ‘B’ in the name such as basketball and baseball. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and friend and enjoyed entertaining everyone all year around.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer Miller of Torrington, CT; Chris Adams of Brooklyn, NY; Sean and his wife Maegan (Nuzenski) Adams of Harwinton, CT; six grandchildren: Steven Hull and Addison Miller of Torrington; Alex Gouthier of Winsted; Jaden Adams of Torrington; Chase and Amelia Adams of Harwinton; a sister Debbie Miller of Modesto, CA; and a nephew Daniel Miller Schroeder of Los Angeles, CA.
