Benoit Lagueux of Torrington passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the age of 69. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Burdick) Lagueux for 36 years. He was born on October 24, 1945, in St. Victor, Quebec, Canada, to the late Cyrais and Germaine (Fortin) Lagueux. Ben immigrated to the United States at the age of 18.
He worked as a sheetrock installer until 1977 when he and his wife established their business, A Line Custom Countertops. Ben was one of those people who really enjoyed getting up each day and going to work, and didn’t retire from his business until 2008.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by three children, Brenda Holmes of Canterbury, CT, Lisa Scribner and Benoit G. Lagueux, Jr. both of Chesapeake, VA; step daughters, Marsh Booth of Rhome, TX, Bonnie McCloud of Lisbon, NH, Patricia Meacham of Jamestown, NY, Teresa Scanlon of Edgewater, MD; grandchildren, Tabatha Light, Chad Holmes, Noah Holmes, Makala Holmes, Kaylee Scribner, Jessica Scribner, Autumn Lagueux, Audrey Lagueux, Alana Lagueux, Justin Howes, Bart Howes, Jamie Howes, Ann Marie Parrotte, Same McCloud, Kyle Scanlon, Trevor Scanlon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will be held in the spring. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
