Barry S. Patterson

Barry S. Patterson, 64, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Kozlak) Patterson.
Barry was born December 2, 1951, in Torrington, CT, son of Leonore Patterson of Litchfield, CT and of the late Irving Patterson. Barry was the President and CEO of The Patterson Oil Company. He loved to sail, work in his vegetable garden, watch hockey games, and especially spend time with his family.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Russell (Katie), Sam (Kimberly), and Charles all of Harwinton; one daughter, Emily Nicholas (Thomas) of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Dirk Patterson (Marla) of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Connor, Christina, Dylan and Madelyn as well as two nieces, two nephews and many friends.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will be private.
