Autilia Persechino, 94, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Fiorello Persechino.
Tillie was born November 19, 1926, in Sant’Apollinare, Italy, daughter of the late Raffaele and Anna Persechino. She was employed by the Torrington Company for 33 years and Inertia Dynamics until she retired. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and cooking, especially for her family.
She is survived by one son, Tony Persechino of Estero, FL; one daughter, Angela Vaill and her husband David of Torrington, CT; one brother, Tony Persechino of Montreal, Canada; three grandchildren, Amanda Vaill, Michael, and Katie Persechino, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers Emilio, Augusto, Eugenio, Giovanni and one sister Vanda.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home on Saturday morning. All attending funeral services are reminded to follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention by following social distancing and wearing protective face masks.
