Arthur F. Cisco, 91, of New Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Bertana) Cisco for 68 years.

Art was born June 2, 1923, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Frederico and Concetta (Mancini) Cisco.  He served his country with the US Navy Seabees during World War II, and was honorably discharged January 2, 1946.  Thereafter, he and his brother Fred founded and co-owned a successful business, Cisco Brothers Plumbing, where he worked until his retirement.  He was a longtime member of the Torrington Elks Lodge #372 and the Torrington Country Club.  He loved a good party and being with people, and especially loved to spend time with his family.  When he wasn’t traveling, he enjoyed fruit and vegetable gardening, bird watching, snow skiing, and he was a devoted UCONN Lady Huskies basketball fan.

In addition to his wife Josephine, he is survived by three daughters, Barbara Cisco of Torrington, Linda Parsley of Coral Gables, FL, Nancy Gilbert of New Hartford; three grandchildren, as well as several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Frank, Tony, George, Fred Cisco and one sister, Rachel Salutari.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at Hillside Cemetery.  Burial will follow with Military Funeral Honors accorded.  There are no calling hours.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Condolences may be sent to the Cisco family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
