Anthony Michael Sledesky

Anthony Michael Sledesky, beloved husband of Anne Wilkins and beloved father of Justin, Ellery, Jack, and Avery Sledesky, died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Hilton Head, SC on May 31, 2022. Born in Hartford, CT on February 14, 1965, to Stephen and Louise (Geiger) Sledesky, Tony grew up in East Hartford attending both public and parochial schools, including East Catholic High School and The University of Connecticut. He went on to work as an information technology consultant at Putnam Investments in Boston, MA before becoming an investor and stay-at-home dad.

Tony met the love of his life, Anne Wilkins, while in high school and they were inseparable for almost forty years. Together they traveled the world, rode motorcycles, and enjoyed life together. On September 30, 1995, Tony married Anne and they started their family in Milton and Cohassett, MA before making their home most recently in Franklin, TN (and Hilton Head, SC). Tony was a loving father to his four children, actively involved in their school, sporting and other activities. He loved to make homemade pierogis with the family for Christmas, even making the essential farmer’s cheese which could not be found when first moving to Tennessee. Tony had the best music playlist of the entire family, creating the soundtrack to their lives.

Tony gathered friends wherever he went, enjoyed early adopting the latest technology, and was always willing to talk about politics, religion, or any other taboo topic. He could fix anything and lent a hand to anyone in need. Tony enjoyed sports, having played baseball from Little League through High School. He turned to golf in his more recent years where he was very active with his golf club and league, often playing three to four times a week, walking the course every time. Tony was an avid Boston Red Sox, Nashville Predators, and all things Tesla fan.

Predeceased by his mother, Louise Sledesky and his father-in-law Charles Wilkins, Tony leaves behind his wife and four children; his father Stephen Sledesky and companion Donna Fassett of Enfield, CT; his two younger brothers, Rev. Stephen Sledesky, Jr of Simsbury, CT and David Sledesky of Glenville, NY; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Wilkins of Franklin TN; his sister-in-law Peggy Wilkins and her family of Chattanooga, TN, his brother-in-law Mark Wilkins and his family of Cambridge, MA; uncle George Mailloux and his wife Shirley of Leland, NC; Keith Mailloux and his wife Paula of North Kingstown, RI; Kathy Sedga; Michael Mailloux and his wife Sandy; Lisa Spofford and her husband Todd; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families.
