Anna G. (Gianzinetti) Carbone, 93, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Anthony “Tony” Carbone for 55 years.
Born June 3, 1922, in Mello, province of Sondrio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giaccamo and Onesta (Baraglia) Gianzinetti. She was employed by New Departure as an Inspector with the Quality Control Department for 30 years. She was a member of the St. Peter Holy Rosary Society, and a communicant of St. Peter Church. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Tony, she is survived by one son, Anthony “Tony” Carbone, Jr., and his wife Margaret Woods of Schenectady, NY; two granddaughters, Emily Carbone, Anna Harms and her husband Evan Harms, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015, with the cortege leaving at 10:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
