Anita Ezzo, 90, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on November 21, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Anita leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer Ezzo, son and spouse, Jeffrey Ezzo and Maureen Ezzo, three grandchildren Sarah Atwater, Erica Marcinek and Joseph Marcinek, their father Joseph Marcinek and four great grandchildren, Logan and Caleb Atwater and Gabrielle and Joseph Marcinek. She also leaves behind granddaughter in law Heather Grimes and grandson in law Rob Voss. Anita is survived by her brother, Paul Rudolph. She was predeceased in death by brother, Richard Rudolph and grandson in law, Jonathan Atwater.
Anita came to America in 1948 with her mother and two brothers. Soon later to be joined by their father in the States. Through hard work and determination she built a successful career and was the heart of her family. Anita enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She frequented shows with her friends often in NYC and took many trips. Reading was one of her most favorite pastimes.
Family always came first to Anita. She spent holidays, birthdays, special occasions, and summers with her family. Once retired, Anita could always be found with her grandchildren building memories wherever they went. No adventure was off limits when the grandchildren were with their Oma. In her later years after moving to CT she enjoyed more than anything spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always at her happiest when surrounded by her family.
Her family will always be grateful in remembering Anita for her selflessness, devotion, encouragement and unconditional love.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Center of Valerie Manor, 1360 Torringford Street, Torrington CT 06790. The family would like to thank the Valerie Manor staff for the exceptional loving care they provided to Anita during her time there and the last days of her life.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the immediate family.
