Angelo Carta

Angelo Carta, 86, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of the late Rita (Rossi) Carta, who preceded him in death in 2016.
Angelo was born February 5, 1931, in Middletown, CT, son of the late Santo and Maria Grazia (Aresco) Carta. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and then went on to become an Electrical Engineer at General Time Corporation and Inertia Dynamics until his retirement.
Angelo is survived by two sons, David Carta of NJ and Michael Carta of FL; one daughter, Carol Carta of Torrington; one sister, Mary Loccisano of GA and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery, Torrington. Family and friends may call on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
