She graduated Torrington High School in 1944 and was married to Richard C. Laigle in 1948. Shortly after marriage they moved to New York City for a year before returning to Torrington to start a family.
Angelina’s great love of music lead her to study voice with the late Ivan Velikanoff of New York, and Willard Pierce at the Hartford School of Music where she developed a passion for singing Operatic Arias and Italian music. She became a soloist with the Musical Arts Guild, the Ladies of Melody and the Berkshire Singers, performing at many local benefits, concerts, Art Festivals, Sons of Italy functions and various nursing homes. Her love of Italian music inspired her, along with friend, John Audia, to form the singing group “Amici Italiani” (Italian Friends). While on a trip to Italy, she had the opportunity to sing at various dinner functions in Naples, Florence and Rome.
Along with music, her other great passion was floral arranging. She used her artistic talents while employed at W.T. Grant Co., The Basket Barn, and the Giardino di Fiori Flower Shop in Torrington.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Laigle and her son-in-law Charles Bado. She is survived by her three children, daughter Deborah L. Grieco and her husband John, daughter Denise Bado and son Richard Laigle and his wife Lois. Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
