Angelina (Balestro) DeAcetis, 87, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Valerie Manor surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Antonio DeAcetis for 62 years.
Angelina was born August 13, 1930, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Angelo and Grace (Albino) Balestro. She was employed by George H. Christian and Company as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino’s and was a fan of country music.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by one son, Brian DeAcetis (Karen) of Torrington; two daughters, Karen D’Onofrio (Joseph) of Winsted, CT, Debra Abeling of New Hartford, CT; one brother, Mario Balestro of Torrington, CT, one sister Eleanor Vesentin of Cheshire, CT; three granddaughters, Melissa Dowden, Ashley DeAcetis, Kaitlyn DeAcetis, one great granddaughter, Alexandra Dowden, her loving and devoted cat Screamy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
