Amorina "Amy" P. (Bauce) Civelli

Amorina “Amy” P. (Bauce) Civelli, 97, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Civelli.

Amy was born April 3, 1925, in Brendola, Italy, daughter of the late Pietro and Sylvia (Manfrini) Bauce. She was employed by Nidec Corporation, was a communicant of St. Peter Church, a member of the St. Peter Holy Rosary Society and of the Italian American Women’s Club.

She is survived by three children, Joyce Gianni of Sun City, FL, Linda Brochu and her husband Arthur of Torrington, CT, Wayne Civelli and his wife Karen of Torrington, CT; one brother, Peter Bauce of Torrington, CT; six grandchildren, Kara (Josh) Lewis, Christopher Gianni, Stacey (Justin) Deloy,  Melissa (Michael) Ferrucci, Ashley and Matthew Civelli, six great grandchildren, Kyla and Gavin Deloy, Ethan and Alexa Ferrucci, Addison Gianni and Tucker Lewis, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Vincent Gianni, a sister Norma DeMichiel and a sister-in-law Mimi Bauce.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregiver Uliana and Visiting Nurse Services for the compassionate care they provided.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, with the cortege leaving at 10:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. John Paul the Great Parish (St. Peter Church), 99 East Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
