Alma (Cremasco) Peveri

Alma (Cremasco) Peveri, 76, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Valerie Manor.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Peveri.

Alma was born June 27, 1945, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Silvio and Catherine (Albreada) Cremasco.  She was self-employed and worked with private duty home care.  She devoted her life to her family and as a caregiver.  She enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.   She was the happiest enjoying her summers on Cape Cod with her husband, daughter’s, grandchildren and extended family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy Calabrese and her husband Vincenzo of Murrells Inlet, SC, Tina DePaul of Torrington, CT; one sister, Elizabeth Perry of Goshen, CT; three grandsons, Joseph, Nicholas and Dominic Calabrese; three granddaughters, Ashley, Lindsey and Rylee DePaul; one great granddaughter, Maleah Sophia, as well as several nieces and nephews.   In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters, and one great grandson, Colby James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.  St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church.  Burial will be private.  Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.  Relatives and friends are asked to wear protective facemasks while inside of Cook Funeral Home and are required to wear facemasks while inside of St. Peter Church for Covid protocol.
