Alice (Locascio) Manchester, 73, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018.
Alice was born January 20, 1945, in Winsted, CT, daughter of the late Giacomo “Jack” and Marjorie (Jones) Locascio. She graduated from Gilbert High School in Winsted and subsequently attended classes at Northwest Connecticut Community College at different points of her life. She was employed by Brooker Memorial as a Home Health Aide, and later by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with the Food Service Department until her retirement. In her younger days she was an active member of the Torringford East Volunteer Firemen Woman’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Robert S. Manchester of New Hartford, CT, and grandchildren Emily and Nathan Manchester. As well as son Randall W. Manchester and daughter in-law Tanya Manchester of Goshen, CT; two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Legeyt of New Hartford, CT and Jacqueline Locascio of Torrington, CT.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning at St. Paul’s Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
