Albina J. (Bredice) Muschell, 101, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Victor Muschell.
Mrs. Muschell was born June 11, 1914, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Frank and Ernestine (Rossi) Bredice. Actively employed throughout her life, she worked for Michael’s Jewelers, and later with the Torrington Chamber of Commerce, and lastly with the Torrington Water Company as a Secretary for many years from where she retired. Always supportive of her community, she was a past member of the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary, a Corporator of Brooker Memorial and of the Torrington Historical Society. She enjoyed oil painting, but, more than anything loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by one son, Atty. Victor M. Muschell and his wife Marion of Torrington; two granddaughters, Atty. Donna Mattiello and her husband Brian of Torrington, Atty. Brooke Joiner and her husband Ben of Burlington; seven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Muschell’s funeral will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to Center Congregational Church, 155 Main St., Torrington, CT for services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
