Julie A. Phillips, 53, of Colebrook, CT, entered into eternal life Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
Julie was born May 19, 1962, in Alexandria, Virginia, daughter of Mildred “Millie” Phillips of Winsted, and the late John Phillips, Jr. She owned and operated J. Phillips Hall Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Winsted Elks Lodge, a Corporator at Northwest Community Bank, past board member for Winsted Area Day Care, and a former member of the Winsted Rotary Club, of which she was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2009. An avid golfer, she also enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and entertaining.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three sons, Gregory Hall of Crosswick, NJ, Geoffrey Hall and his fiancé Hannah Lane of Blacksburg, VA, Jacob Ransford of Colebrook, CT; one brother, John Phillips IV of Atlanta, GA; one sister Jeanne Anthony of Harvard, MA; three nephews, Benjamin Phillips, Nicholas and Daniel Lombardy and her companion Kevin LeMere of Winsted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 31 Oak St., Winsted, CT. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Joseph’s Church. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.
