Angelo Capasso, Sr.

Angelo Capasso, Sr. 84, of Torrington CT, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2023. Angelo was born October 28,1938 in Nicastro, Province of Catanzaro, Italy and was the son of the late Salvatore and Caterina (DiCello) Capasso.

Angelo leaves his predeceased wife Deborah (Ruwet) Capasso, a son Angelo Capasso Jr and his wife Nicole, a daughter Cathy Capasso; two granddaughters Elena Benge and Alexa Capasso, a great grandson Dominic Benge, brother Joseph Capasso and his wife Joanne of PA, and sister Rita Marchigiano of Wethersfield, a sister-in-law Barbara Holtman her husband Dennis & daughter Kimberly.

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends both in the U.S. and Italy. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by his siblings, Rosa Capasso, Antonio Capasso, Francesco Capasso, Rachela Capasso, Pasqualina Torcasio and Nicolina Gaetano.

Angelo worked many years for Marcel’s Aluminum Company and sided many houses in Litchfield County. He was also employed for 18 years with Ingersoll & Rand. He had passion for Bowling at Sky Top Lanes, landscaping his yard and planting in his garden. If something need fixing "Dad" was always there to fix and he loved going to the Casinos always saying; “I’m playing with their money!!”

There are many treasured memories of Sunday dinners and holidays spent together with his parents, siblings, and their families. Angelo's contagious smile will be missed by everyone who knew him!
